What To Expect
We help people with stubborn acne understand why they have acne, know exactly what to expect, start treatment at the first appointment, and follow a controlled home-care system built for acne-prone skin.
Here’s exactly how it works
1. Book Your First Appointment
Your first appointment includes both your consultation and your first treatment, so you can get answers and get started right away.
2. Review Your Current Products
We look at what you are currently using and identify what may be contributing to your acne, irritation, or lack of progress.
3. Switch to the Skin+ Line
If you move forward, you will need to stop your current products and switch to the Skin+ line so we can control the routine and know exactly how your skin should respond.
4. Receive Your First Treatment
Your first visit also includes treatment, so you leave with both a plan and your first in-clinic step already completed.
5. Follow the Plan
Clear skin takes consistency. We guide you through the process, adjust as needed, and help you stay on track for lasting results.
What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Your first appointment includes both the consultation and your first treatment. We evaluate your skin, help determine why you have acne, review your current products, educate you on what may be contributing to your breakouts, explain what needs to change, and get you started with a plan you can actually follow.
During your first appointment:
- your consultation and first treatment happen at the same visit
- we review your current skincare products and routine
- we help determine why you have acne and educate you on what may be contributing to it
- you will need to stop your current products and switch to the Skin+ line
- you leave with a clear home-care plan and next steps
- we give you realistic expectations for your acne timeline
Why Skin+ Home Care Matters
We require clients to switch to the Skin+ line because our process works best when we can control the variables. We also want to educate you on why you have acne in the first place, what may be triggering it, and how to treat it the right way.
We know how our products are designed to work together, what your skin should be doing, and how to make smart adjustments along the way.
That matters because:
- we use a controlled system, not random product mixing
- we know how Skin+ products are designed to work together
- we know what changes to expect when clients follow the plan correctly
- it helps us reduce irritation, confusion, and products that work against treatment
- it gives your skin the best chance to respond the way it should
Timeline
Acne is a process, not a one-time treatment.
Some clients start seeing improvement within the first several weeks. For others, clearing takes longer depending on acne type, inflammation, skin sensitivity, and consistency. What matters most is following the plan, staying consistent, and using the home care we recommend.
A simple way to think about the process:
- first, we build the right routine
- then, we adjust and stay consistent
- over time, you see stronger long-term progress
Ready to get started?
Your first appointment includes both the consultation and your first treatment. We will review your skin, switch your home care to the Skin+ line, and get you started with a plan that makes sense.
What do I book first?
Book the New Client Acne Consultation. It includes both the consultation and your first treatment.
Do you take insurance or HSA/FSA cards?
No. We do not accept insurance or HSA/FSA cards
How long does it take to clear acne?
It depends on your acne type and your participation in the process. Clear skin takes consistency, which means keeping your every-two-week appointments and following our protocol at home. For inflamed acne, we generally recommend coming in every two weeks for about 4 months. For non-inflamed acne, it is usually closer to 6 months. After that, depending on your acne and lifestyle, we recommend most clients continue with a monthly appointment to help maintain results and keep acne from returning.
How do you determine why I have acne?
We take several things into consideration, including your acne history, family history of acne, your current skincare routine and products, and whether there may be any acne imposters involved, such as medications, illness, or other underlying factors. We look at the full picture so we can educate you on what may be contributing to your breakouts and create a plan that makes sense for your skin.
Why do I have to stop my current products?
Because mixing in outside products creates too many variables. We want to remove the guesswork, avoid products that may be irritating your skin or clogging your pores, and make sure we can guide your progress based on a routine we know and trust.
Do I need to buy products?
Yes. If you move forward, you will need to switch to the Skin+ line. We do this because our process is controlled. We know how our products are supposed to work, how they work together, and what your skin should be doing when you are following the plan correctly.
